1950 Born in New York, New York. 1972 Receives Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. 1981 Receives Ph.D. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. Settles in Johannesburg, South Africa, where practice as a mining entrepreneur brings him to remote outlying regions of the country. Currently lives and works in South Africa.
