Rene Mesman is a talented Amsterdam-based still life photographer, who does some rather interesting things with food. He worked for Heineken, Converse and the New York Times magazine in the past.Besides interiors, advertisements, and a intriguing series of people in Kosovo, he also creates still life and a series of still life pictures with taxidermy. With the help of talented food stylists, Claartje Lindhout and Hanna van den Bos, Mesman’s food combinations mirror the gastronomic experiments of Heston Blumenthal and Ferran Adria.
