My name is Galina Yotova. I was born in Bulgaria and most of my life passed as a marathon of crises, transitions, demolitions and constructions. I work as a photographer in a magazine called “One week in Sofia”. A fascinating job, I like it so much that I envy myself. I shoot streets, people and places in the capital. Most of the times I have to do portraits for interviews. All I have as information is a phone number, a name and a…. go and do it. All that is available to me is a backpack of appliances, a smile and, of course, charisma. Charisma, with which I can make a total stranger to forget his vanity, the time and me for a few minutes. And then all to do is “Shoot!”. It works, well not always.
