Of all the hats Ira’s worn, being a photographer and a dad are his favorites. Before he started photographing weddings and portraits in 2000, Ira was a radio personality, did voiceovers for movie trailers, and worked as a TV and film actor, which eventually led to shooting headshots, CD covers, publicity stills, and magazine assignments.
Ira has a special talent for working with people from all walks of life-from brides and babies to CEO’s and celebrities-from New York to San Francisco- barefoot beach weddings to baptisms, and black-tie affairs to Bar Mitzvahs.
His street photography has received international attention, from newspapers, magazines, and online publications… Ira’s work has been in numerous exhibitions and are in a number of private collections.
Ira’s photos have appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Daily Mail, Get Married Magazine, JCK Luxury Magazine and The Photo Review. Clients include Marc Jacobs International, Tufts University, The Rockefeller Foundation, United Hospital Fund, The Children’s Storefront School and The Atlantic Philanthropies, just to name a few.
The city comes alive through the lens of Ira Fox in his remarkable photo series called “Reflections.” This New York based fine arts photographer captures the shadows of every day people as they cross his path on a rainy day.
