Andreas Helweg born in 1963. After studying literature I work as a writer and translator of novels.

I came into photography at the age of fifteen, when I learned how to process black and white films. After that my camera became a constant companion. During to my studies in literature I discovered photography as means of art, sometimes in boiling punk clubs just in front of the stage, sometimes in conceptual work.

Being an existentialist deep in my heart I always try to cross the borders between me and the world.

I love a good read, movies, running marathons and playing guitar. And most of all I like travelling with my wife and my little daughter to big and small cities.
