A household name in German photography, Alexander Heinrichs started enjoying photography in the mid 80′s. In 2005, he opened his first small studio and started his business with family & wedding photography. His career gained momentum when his work was recognized by the German Photography Society (DVF) earning him a spot in the finals at the “Germany’s Best Digital Photographer” contest in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Since 2007, Alexander’s new photo studio ah-photo in Aschaffenburg, Germany is fully equipped with professional lighting systems by Multiblitz which enables him to cover every aspect of photography – from table top to portraits.
Today, Alexander is focussing on digital compositing, picture montages, event and advertising photography. Among his clients are Credit Suisse, Computer Associates, and Randomhouse Publishing. He frequently gives workshops and enjoys producing video tutorials on ah-photo’s vimeo channel. He is author for Galileo Publishing and writes for several photography magazines, digitalphoto and Photoshop Praxis, to name a few.
