studied philosophy, art and biology, degree in biology
started photography in 1984
1991 member of GDT (Gesellschaft Deutscher Tierfotografen, Society of German Nature Photographers)
1992-1995 President of GDT
since 1995 freelance photographer

“Kamchatka” – Eagles bears and volcanoes (1997)
“Adlerleben” – American Bald Eagle (1999)
“Return of the Emperor” – European bisons in primeval forests of Poland (2004)
“Kranich” – European cranes (2007)
Fritz-Steininger-Award by GDT
several prizes in BBC-competition and other competitions
lives in Luenen, Germany.
