Fabrice Picard, born in 1961, studied at the French Society of Photography and the Centre for Media and Photography.

The winner of the Paysage Européen Prize in 1992 and honored by the Galerie d’Essai in 1987, Fabrice Picard works on various subjects such as duplicity, identity, photographic writing, death, the notion of borders, and writing. His works such as “Bestiaire Magnifique,” “La Mort Dévisagée,” and “Lieux Ordinaires,” “”Orage” (Oradour-sur-Glane), “Les Jardins de Lucifer,” “Rupestres,” and “Occultations,” identify him as a photographer concerned with a coherent form based upon an academic approach that advances photography as a medium. In addition to his projects, he works with the French and international press, particularly Libération.
