Born in Nieuport, Belgium, in 1972.
Gaël Turine studied photography at l’école des Arts Plastiques du 75 de Bruxelles.. His collaborations with the press are considerable as a staff photographer for l’Express magazine and a frequent contributor to Libération, Le Monde and The New York Times. Since 1998 he has often been rewarded awards and grants. In 2007, he was honoured with the “Golden Shamrock,” a prize attributed by Belgian career funds, for a transatlantic project on the road of the Vodun cult.
His works are exhibited throughout Europe. For three years, his exhibition “Aveuglement” was shown in Brussels, Geneva, Milan, Paris, Zurich, Berlin and Antwerp.
